The rotors can become warped, and brake debris can build up from the brake pads.

Brake pads are designed to create a noticeable squealing noise when they need to be changed. This is built into the brake pad, and when it makes contact with the rotor, the friction causes the noise. If you hear grinding, which is metal on metal, you have waited too long and you may begin doing damage to your braking system.

Depending on how much you drive, you'll need to change your brake pads about every 50,000 miles or sooner.
Our expert will inspect and will service or remove the old pad from the caliper and replaced with the new ones. The rotors will be checked for any wear and damage.
Through use, the rotors can become warped, and brake debris can build up from the brake pads. Every second or third brake change should include getting your rotors turned, or machined. This gets rid of the built-up debris and warping, keeping your rotors smooth and extending their life.
